左光斗（1575年-1625年），字共之，又字遗直，自号浮邱，又号苍屿。南直隶安庆府桐城县（今安徽省铜陵市枞阳县横埠镇）人。水利专家，“东林六君子”之一。
左光斗为官清正、磊落刚直，被誉为“铁骨御史”，为挽救明王朝做出了许多努力。

左光斗第十四世裔孙、郊区税务局纪检组长左中向巡察人员介绍了“铁骨御史”左光斗生平事迹。大家通过观实物、听解说、讲历史，详细了解了大明清贤、“铁骨御史”、中国历史上清官廉吏的杰出代表左光斗刚正不阿、查奸肃贪的事迹，对他“一身铁骨这般硬，不惜舍命为苍生”的事迹有了更深刻的了解。
